Roz Cran

Relationship is central to my practice.

How do we relate to other beings, other things in the world? To a tree? To a stone? To a bucket? To a bird? To ourselves?

I use performance, print, photography, video, bookworks to examine these relationships; to look sideways.

animal, vegetable, mineral comprised 3 short videos, Tree, Stone and Interview(pig) and an artist book.

BREAKING GROUND is an experimental collaborative project and has provided opportunities for a number of site-specific residencies - on an allotment, at the University of Brighton Printmaking Department, and at 3 Project Spaces along the South Coast: Phoenix, Brighton; Pine Gallery, Hastings; CRATE, Margate.

The otherness of things, magic, issues of identity and sanity continue to fascinate.
